Lexi Peterson – Founder/ Head Instructor

Lexi became interested in agility at a very young age. When she was five years old she went to a local dog show and was mesmerized by all the dogs running through the obstacle course. After years of dreaming about having her own agility dog she finally got her first border collie Jessi for Christmas. They took classes together from a local trainer and started competing.
Lexi and Jessi were naturals excelling very quickly in the sport and becoming one of the first teams in Idaho to receive championship titles in three different venues MACH (AKC), ADCH (USDAA), NATCH/ V-NATCH (NADAC). Lexi continued her agility education by taking online lessons, traveling for lessons, and taking seminars from different agility instructors. While still a junior handler, Lexi qualified and competed at multiple regional and national events including winning the 2014 NADAC National championships.
After high school Lexi pursued her love for agility and started teaching local classes. She continued her education by attending a Veterinary Technician program. She obtained her CVT and continued on with additional education in canine sports medicine. Lexi uses her medical background and sports medicine experience to help keep dogs in top shape while training for agility.
Lexi has added many more border collies to her family and has trained and competed with them all in high levels of agility. Including competing at many regional and national events and placing in all classes with multiple dogs. Lexi and Jiffy became the 2022 GrandPrix Grand Champion large dog with the fastest time of all heights.
Lexi has also had success handling students’ dogs by getting titles on them at local events, placing at regionals, and running in finals at nationals. Lexi Believes that not all dogs and handlers learn the same and believes in working with the team you have in front of you. She will adjust plans to help better communicate to each team. Her attention to detail helps provide each team with constructive feedback to help them succeed in all levels of agility. Lexi strives to push her students to be the best they can while making sure having fun remains the number one goal.
Izzy Riley- Instructor

Izzy began her love affair with animals back before she could walk. For the first two decades of her life, Izzy trained and competed in a wide variety of equine sports, eventually landing on barrel racing and pursuing barrel racing through undergraduate college.
After her last mare retired, Izzy found herself thrown into a very similar world – dog sports. In 2018, a Doberman puppy landed in her lap, which officially started her agility and dog training adventure. A year into raising Baldur, Izzy found herself with a 90lb velociraptor, which led her search for dog sports that might help with harnessing his energy.
After starting agility lessons with Lexi, Izzy became completely hooked. Since then, Baldur and Izzy have competed in NADAC, USDAA, UKI, and AKC events. They attended their first reginal event: USDAA 2022 PNW regionals and placed 3rd in Biathlon. They attended Cynosport World Games in 2022, placed top ten in several classes for their height group, and also made it into steeplechase semifinals. Baldur has once again qualified for Cynosport in 2023. Most recently in the summer of 2023, Baldur podiumed three times and placed first in his height, winning a UKI festival in Washington and earning himself two “byes” to the UKI West Coast Open and US Open.
Looking forward, Izzy plans to continue her agility adventure with her three dogs, Baldur, Gimli, and baby Nimbus, while also attending Graduate school in the hopes of eventually offering Animal Assisted Therapy in the Treasure Valley.
